United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Bangladesh is happy to invite submission for UNESCO Bangladesh Journalism Award 2010. UNESCO Bangladesh has been giving away this award since 2008 as a part of its effort in promoting freedom of expression and media development in Bangladesh.

The award worth Tk 50,000 (Fifty thousand taka) is for the “Best Investigative Report” published or telecast in any Bangladeshi media between 1st of January 2009 and 31st of December 2009. A reporter can send only one report. No “series report” will be considered. The original printed version of the story should be sent along with contact details. For electronic media the entry should be in CD format with a printed copy of the script.

All entries should reach UNESCO Dhaka Office before 15th April 2010 at UNESCO Dhaka Office, House: 122, Road: 1, Block: F, Banani, Dhaka 1213. Entries should be in envelops with the words “UNESCO Bangladesh Journalism Award” written at the top. Hand delivery is strongly discouraged.
