Promotional Activities & Formal Closing of Paharpur-Bagerhat Safeguarding Campaign
In continuation of the International safeguarding campaign started in 1985 continued up to 1998 for important restoration and promotional activities for Paharpur Vihara & Bagerhat World heritage sites, UNESCO Dhaka in collaboration with Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Department of Archaeology formally closed the project in December 2004. In these regards, a Brochure on Paharpur Vihara and Bagerhat the city of mosque World Heritage Sites has published with highlighting all the restoration, conservation, preservation and promotional activities has been carried out. A formal closing ceremony of the Paharpur-Bagerhat WHS promotional & safeguarding campaign taken place with distinguished guest and scholars and official, especially the Honourable Excellencies of French High Commission, Honourable Excellencies of Japan High Commission and Honourable Excellencies of Norwegian High Commission to formally conclude the safeguarding campaign in Bangladesh to pay tribute to the for their long term contribution for these project.
