Conducing a workshop on Reading for All

  • PDF
Reading for All Reading is a fundamental component of literacy and continuous learning. Important and useful knowledge can be obtained through reading. Ideas of individuals can be transferred to others through reading. For beginners and neo-literates reading may constitute a major motivation for further learning, as distraction and pleasure are provided through short and lively stories, using simple language structure. Beginners/neo-literates may find it rewarding to use recently acquired knowledge in an easy and pleasant way. Staffs in NGO and government who are engaged in post literacy and continuing education participated in the workshop to exchange ideas and experiences and discuss further cooperation between them and UNESCO Dhaka to promote reading habits in Bangladesh .
